a little industrial glam...

... to brighten your day. I've always loved the mix of industrial mechanical metals with delicate shimmering objects, and this Hand Blown Glass Chandelier from Strawser & Smith is no exception. Such a perfect balance of rustic casual and sophisticated elegance.

Blow Bow Bash

A few weeks ago those fabulously talented ladies from Bash, Please hosted a magical girlie evening at The Dry Bar full of goodies... Blow Bow Bash! With all the glittery fun there was so much eye candy... but these gorgeous arrangements took my breath away. They are so clever... and I love the way they displayed all those wonderful accessories. I may have to steal this idea for my 30th birthday bash.

red, white, and blush

I'm loving this color palette, and all these little gems work so well together. It's a good thing they can all be found in one place... Bird.

Have a lovely weekend!

in the buff...

... with tons of shimmer. I'm totally head over heels for the Spring/Summer 2011 Bebaroque collection. That pale nude color mixed with shiny silver sequins... Amazing!!!

supakitch & koralie

I'm kind of late to the game on this one... but I love this video so much that I'm going to share it anyway, just in case you haven't had the pleasure of watching it yet. Supakitch & Koralie are a street artist team from France who have been living and working out of New York City. This is a recent video of the them creating a mural for the Museum of World Culture in Sweden. I love the combination of materials, pen, ink, paint, digital, and collage, to create one harmonious product.

don't passover the chocolate

Passover has always been one of my favorite Jewish holidays, I love being together with my family and eating tons of wonderful food. There has always been one huge disappointment for me personally... desserts! Now being an April baby means that I have celebrated many a birthdays over Passover, and I have to say that my Passover birthday cake always fell a little short. I understand there are a few restrictions when it comes to baking, but I finally found a wonderful easy recipe perfect all year round, and especially on Passover. It's my Chocolate Crater Cake, it's so delicious and simple to bake. Whether you celebrate Passover or not, if you're a chocolate lover this cake is for you. People have asked me for the recipe for several years, well here it is...

By the way, that AMAZING cake stand was a birthday present from a wonderful friend. Happy Holidays!
