feliz cinco de mayo

Growing up in Southern California, I've always been influenced by Mexican culture, so in honor of Cinco De Mayo, I decided to post a loteria board. Loteria is a Mexican board game, similar to bingo, but uses these amazing pictograms instead of letters and numbers. I've always loved these simple graphics and their even simpler descriptions below. Wishing all of you a wonderful Cinco De Mayo!

out of office

Some of you may already know, but just in case I thought I'd fill you all in. My husband and I are going on a little vacation for the next few weeks. We got married almost two years ago and never officially went on a honeymoon... so we're making it up by going BIG! I'm not going to give away our final destination(s) but check back to see where we've landed. Please bare with me while the next several weeks of posts may be sparse, but I promise they will be VERY fun. Ta ta for now!! xo

there's something about bulges

There's something about these plaster bulges, by artist Susan Dwyer, that is so interesting to me. I am absolutely captivated by the colors, the shapes, and the composition. I would LOVE to have these up in our home... one day!
