Growing up in a creative world Jessica Marx has been both enamored and inspired by fashion and design since she was young. Jessica took her passion for design to USC where she graduated from the School of Architecture.
This cosmopolitan woman has traveled the world on a quest for all things beautiful and luxurious – using each place she visits as a piece of inspiration. Jessica established herself quickly in the professional ranks, being named one of the top 18 designers of the next generation by Boutique Design in 2006. Prior to starting her own company she worked at several top design firms in Los Angeles, including Dodd Mitchell Design and ICRAVE Design.
In early 2010, Jessica started Life's Little Jems: a lifestyle blog with daily inspirations. Shortly after starting her blog Jessica founded J. Marx Atelier, a full service design company creating interesting, innovative, and thoughtful products and environments. Jessica is known for her attention to detail, and her unique ability to mix eclectic pieces from different eras and parts of the world to create a truly distinctive style.
Jessica opened Life's Little Jems | The Shoppe, an online vintage home decor boutique, in 2011. After spending countless hours scouring flea markets, estate sales, and thrift shops for clients, she decided to share all those perfect unique gems she finds with the rest of the world. Her goal is to make great design easy and accessible while always remaining chic and fabulous.
